How frequent are you going to allow metal weapons? or about the same as normal Dark Sun,...hardly ever
Just trying to figure out how many weapons I need to be carrying around. I currently only have 2, but that could be done in one fight.

You might get your hands on one around 15th level.
The caravan you work for will replace or mend any broken weapons. Taking a spare weapon into a fight is a good idea but any more than that is excessive.
Unless you plan on rolling more than two one's in a single combat.

Everyone has been working for Qaqalil for some time so you would know each other very well.
For you magic types, everyone on the caravan has the same hatred of magic as most Athasions so you would do well to always keep your magic hidden.
I forgot to list it above but everyone gets one wild psionic talent form the list.

Just getting it straight before play starts, I have at least one AE
if I roll a 1 on the first mob in the AE do i resolve the rest as if the weapon was fine and then it breaks, or does it break on the first attack roll?
Also will you allow abilities that say implement to be used without one, if for whatever reason we break all of our implements before getting back to a replacement?

Not sure what you're saying. I think you're asking that if you use a power with multiple attacks and the first roll of the attack is a fumble, would the weapon break then or only after all attacks are resolved.
The weapon would break on the roll of 1 if it is the first attack then the following attacks would be made as if unarmed.

The way I understand the rules is magic users can cast spells without any aid just like fighter types can attack without weapons.

He is asking both from the melee AE perspective which you answered and from a magical AE perspective, if you have a blast 1 within 10 and you are rolling on 3 kobolds say, would your focus item disentigrate if you rolled a 1 on the first roll or because you are attacking an area, the order doesn't matter and it would just stop working after the "attack".

...I almost went with Thri-Kreen I'm interested to see how yours plays out.
hahaha, I almost went Mul. It was a real tough decision, even now I'm curious if my Mul-version Barbarian would've been better. But, I like the Kreen concept a lot and figured I'd give it a go.

So, we probably won't be starting anytime soon...
Pax, any idea when Xabulba might be back online?
(this btw, is relatively good news... I was afraid I was missing the game somewhere. I kept searching threads and everyone else's post history looking to see if I had missed something lol)

Have we seen our Bard online?
(I may have just completely missed it)
I'm waiting on my last feat. I have some thoughts on it (Expertise comes to mind... so does W.Focus and a few of the Barbarian ones), but one of the ones I was considering was Multiclass Monk. I can see it working into my storyline, it fits well with my stats, gives me a nice additional attack power, and gives me access to another skill. In this case, I'm thinking of taking the Thievery Skill. It fits my dex nicely; and without a rogue, it might be helpful to have someone able to disarm traps... I won't be able to find them too well -- yeah! low WIS score lol -- but, if one of you point them out, I can dismantle them :)
Any thoughts?
If our Bard was already going to pick up Thievery, do we really need a second theif-skill or should I try to pick up a different one? Is there something our party is lacking that I could pick up?

I dont have access to my stuff, but i seem to remember some really nice charging feat, and barbarians can charge better than just about anyone.
I'm looking...
I can see one that gives me +2 speed while charging (which would allow me some pretty far distances == 9 squares!); andI can see one that gives me a +2 to damage while charging (also a pretty nice addition)
Which one were you thinking about? (you don't have to have the name... just an idea of what it does/they do). I'd love some suggestions!
I'm hoping at some point to see some more racial feat for the 'Kreen. Right now, it's pretty sparse.

I think it was the damage one, since you can get some nice at-wills that are charges if you want, and then their are weapons that give you con damage to charges, which you woudl be doing alot of if you went that route, and i think i remember seeing either a weapon or a feat that lets you knock someone down when you hit with a charge

Oooh... very cool Megan. I like the sound of it! :)
I don't know if you caught my other post about your bard... not sure what skills or multi-class plans you had for her/him? But I maybe picking up multiclass monk (in the first few levels) and didn't know if I should pick Thievery as his skill or not. If you already have it covered, I'd probably pick a different one... but if you don't have it, I don't mind grabbing it for the team (I have an good idea of how it fits in with Th'Kal's background anyway, so it's not really a stretch).

I'm back, and hope to get this wayyy overdue game started this week. So polish up your characters and lets get ready to rumble in the sand.
give me a roll call for those still wanting to play.
I would like you to work up some back history on how you started with the House Ianto caravan and how you feel about working with each other, please.

I am thinking my guy is an x-gladiator that was making a small name for himself as a survivor out in the dunes. The caravan purchased his contract and he is finally about to work off his debt. However the caravan has not treated him like property and he is thinking of sticking around with them since he has formed a bound with a couple of the other workers. Especially a half dwarf named Gorad who is an x-gladiator as well. I still get a little nervous around the insectoid since my worst fights in the pits were against them, but I offer gruding respect for the thing.
| Gorad Bender |
I also am an ex-gladiator, after my time on the bloody sands, I took a contract with the first caravan that came along. I've stuck through several caravan destinations now after forming a grudging alliance with Paxs through our past battles and shared stories of our time as gladiators. As a former healer for gladiators I'm used to working with anyone and everyone that needs attention, I take the pragmatic view... at our base we are all meat for someone... And more often than not that someone is the grinder of life...
