I have been working on designing my own RPG. Nothing for production or sale. It is just a challenge I have given myself. The idea being that I would create a game that made sense to me and it would stand on its own without relying on someone else's product.
If anyone could recommend a site where others engage in such activity I would greatly appreciate it. It would be nice to have others to bounce my ideas off of and maybe I could learn something in the process.
Thanks,
Eric

Eric, if it should interest you, I started designing my own RPG about 2 1/2 years ago or so, based off of my favorite comic book, the Legion of Super-Heroes. I've more or less finished the combat rules, intiative and other basics. Now I've moved it to PBP to try the rules out, learn things that don't work, find out what to change etc. Though retaining players seems to be a challenge, I've already begun making changes based off of the PBP experience. I'd love to correspond with you about your system, since we seem to be pretty much doing the same type of project.

Also, send me the URL's for the PBP so I can check it out. Just in case no one has mentioned it, retaining players is a common problem for folks running a PBP.
The rules are merely an introduction to the basic concepts of the game. I send out full rule chapters to those who are interested in the PBP game.
