I started DM-ing some time ago, after being a player for a few years now.
I started with the D0 and D1 module, going for D2 afterwards. Me and the players are really enjoying the modules, although sometimes it is hard for me to convert it for more than 4 people.
I began reading the first part of Curse of the Crimson Throne and damn,... do I want to play this with my friends!
I don't want to let my players start all over again and I still have to convert it for 4 to 7 players.
The first building I see will give my players a good challenge, packed up with 4+ in those cramped spaces, but how on earth do I change the evil guys?
The first guy is a CR1 who at least needs to be a CR4... How do I do this?

The great thing about Curse of the Crimson Throne is that most of the bad-guys are humans with character levels. So just throw some extra character levels on there (and slow the PCs down to the Slow xp progression until they match up with the expected level of the AP, then you can speed up to the Fast progression).
Good luck, hope it works out for you.

If there are more than 4 party members, then you might want to add a capable henchman or two to assist the bad guy/gal(s). The opposing side needs another pair of hands (or whatever) so that the "action economy" is more balanced for a better fight.
Bellona's right on the nose. Action economy tips the scales enormously once there are more than 5 actives on the players' side - including animal companions, eidolons and mounts.
And with 7 4th levels, the solo 4th level BBEG should probably be a pair of Advanced 4th levels. The Advanced Simple template + numbers returns things enough to balance things out so that (a) the PCs get enough XP, and (b) you can occasionally post in the Obits thread.

Twig,
Like you, have a group that are in the middle of D1 and I have 5 players and They will be level 3 after this module. I was thinking I would like to GM Curse of the Crimson Throne too with this group. How did you bring the character to Korvosa? or did you change the setting location?
