Can Paladins multiclass?

Rules Questions

I couldn't find an answer in the rulebook. Can a Paladin take a couple of levels of Fighter, then go back to advancing as a Paladin?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Yes.

In Pathfinder the restrictions on monks and paladins multi-classing have been completely removed.

(They still have to worry about their alignment restrictions, though. Good luck being a barbarian/paladin.)

The short answer would be "yes" as long as they do not violate the Paladin Code while dabbling in the other class.

A better answer might be, depends on the deity. For example, a Paladin of Shelyn taking levels in Bard or a Paladin of Erastil taking levels in Ranger would not be a problem. But I would not see the reverse (a Shelynite taking levels in ranger for example) working as well.

I love this site. Always someone ready who knows what I don't.
