Sword 'n Board or Two Hander?

Advice

Well, I'm in the process of making a character for a campaign... and I'm stuck on what build to go with -_-. The fighter/tank just left, so I'm stepping up to fill in that role. I'm making a fighter, just haven't really decided what type yet...

It's a 50pt attribute buy, but with a low magic-ish feel (magic items are harder to come by). Group consists of a monk, melee rogue, alchemist, cleric, and a wizard. I'm leaning more towards two handed fighter, with the appropriate APG arch-type... but not 100% sure yet, heh...

Sword and Board TWF'er would work well.

With 50 pt buy the usual problems with powering the TWF Sword & Board (paying for the dex to purchase TWF feat chain without gimping strength) largely go the window. Get a high enough base dex to get the TWF chain and just purchase from it and the shield bash chain.

It's got a good DPR and while it does less damage than the THF the increased AC from a shield will probably be appreciated.

THF will definitely work but the extreme point buy makes the TWF Sword + Board really attractive IMHO.

50 point buy = broken IMHO. 2WF more fun and more useful, IMHO.

I don't agree with the point buy either, but that is the DM's issue to deal with. I would mind seeing the carnage a 50 point buy druid or cleric can cause though.
