Stone Golem Guardian

So... I really want a Shield Guardian for my wizard, but they don't exist in Pathfinder (we're sticking close to the rules). No problem. I figure I'll just make a stone golem when I get higher level.

Just last week, I realized I have enough money to buy a Golem Manual for making a stone golem. I looked at the description and, after the main description for the stone golem manual, there's a listing for a Stone Golem Guardian manual.

What the heck is that?!

It's not in the bestiary, as far as I can see.

sure it is, look at page 158 in the bestiary
shield guardians, every golem can become a shield guardian, exactly what you want I suppose

Talking about golems.......good
I'd like to hear your opinion.
Right now I'm a lvl 8 cleric.
Recently became chaotic evil because of a big mistake.
My party wants to kill me because The city we are managing has a cult dedicated to my bloody godess (sub domains: love, loss, lust, night)
And the cult is killing people but also keeping the streets quiet and in order. I also want a golem. What should i do???

hi, perhaps a opening a new thread would have better suited your question. (as this one is dead for a few months) but no proble.

To better answer your question, what is it you try to "fix"? A golem won't make your party like you more, it can't replace your party, and you should ask your GM first if he allows golems (if you haven't done that already).

Your cult reminds me of a Criminal Mind episode where someone killed all the homeless to "clean" the streets. My suggestion, change the god ^^

But besides that, you need the feats, the spells (or someone who casts them for you) and money. At your lvl I doubt that a shield guardian will be likely to get, too much sacrifice.

My suggestion, talk to your GM, if he's okay, let him plan a storyline with enough downtime and everything where you get/make the golem at aroun lvl 10-12. Or get a golem from Bestiary 2, I heard there are really cheap ones in there. But I doubt you want a lumb of roadkill following you ... except if it might fit your godess.
