Does Improved Precise Shot negate the miss chance from the Displacement spell?
Improved Precise Shot says it negates the miss chance for concealment, but not full concealment.
Displacement says it provides a 50% miss chance like full concealment, but unlike full concealment, allows the displaced character to be targeted.
So I'm confused. Does Displacement provide full concealment, or just a 50% miss chance similar to full concealment?
Displacement is not actually concealment or cover. Its just a miss chance. IPS does not prevent it. If it was, rogues could sneak attack using it.
OK, Thanks!!! Last game, my 10th level ranger used Swift Haste to get off 4 shots at a naga with discplacement, and missed 3 times because of the miss chance. I forgot he had Improved Precise Shot, but it turns out it didn't matter. :-)
