I'm wondering if there are any DM's out there who have used music during their SCAP campaigns for specific scenes/characters/places. I love a program called Softrope that's free in beta (and probably should be the subject of a different post :-) which makes it easy to mix sounds on the fly, so I've been scouring bargain bins for soundtracks and have started putting together a playlist, ideally a bit like the one Dragon magazine published for the Savage Tides campaign. Anyway, I've got lots of music pulled together now, but haven't made many assignments yet. The big one I've picked is a track from the _Angels in America_ soundtrack called _Ellis Island_ to be the Cauldron theme. (And there are other tracks on that album that are variations on my main track's basic theme, so I'll be able to vary things later for different moods.) Has anyone else found stuff they really liked for SCAP?

I use it as opening theme nearly every session. During the sessions I use only a collection of soundtracks like Conan, LotR, 13th Warrior, Children of Dune.
Especially the last one is a soundtrack, I prefer for the SCAP setting. Even if you want to use some tracks for special scenes only, you will find some good ones for different situations at that soundtrack.
I just settled on a theme song for the Stormblades last night. Whenever they make an appearance, I'm going to play _A Challenge_ from the soundtrack to the Danes/Dicaprio _Romeo and Juliet_. It's got a nice strutting feel I think will set my players' teeth on edge :-)
And Sheharan, I have gotten a lot of use out of the Neverwinter Nights games for sound effects too. There are thousands of little files that cover just about any sort of fantasy setting sound you can imagine. Pretty handy. Thanks for the tip about Children of Dune too, I'll check it out!
