Hi guys, it's time for yet another update on the Spell Compendium project, also known as Eldritch Secrets.
Just follow this link, and you'll see just how close we are getting to releasing Eldritch Secrets... oh and there is a page layout example and then the author (or rather authors) of the foreword are revealed!

Actually, I've got something constructive to say. Who'd have thunk it?
Helping Axel out with some final touches on Eldritch Secrets, he blessed me with a semi-finalized copy for review. Let me tell you...
This book is gonna be awesome! Besides how much attention has gone into originality and game balance (and let me tell you, having bought some independant pdf's in the past, alot of stuff out there is insanely unbalanced), this book has great page design, fantastic illustrations, story seeds, new deities and even a few magic items! (And more! I'm not sure how much he's comfortable with me revealing.)
You WANT this book, even if you don't realize it yet!

BTW, everybody... take a close look at Axel's link.
Yes, the APG classes will have spells within its fantastic pages! Also included will be some spells unique to them!!
(Oh, yeah...)

Eldritch Secrets is going according to plan! I am working my way through the layout and is currently at page 83. The book will not be as big as first anticipated, but then again, from first to second layout, I lowered the space between the lines, so that a page now holds more words. My guess is that it will come in at about 100 pages with a few ads in the back.
I expect it to be done within a week or so, if my artists deliver the last three illustrations...

When I last spoke with Axel we were still waiting for a couple of illustrations to come in. But that was a week ago.
But hey, it gave us time to throw in a few more magic items! (Just wait, your bard is going to want a ring of superior performance, I just know it.)
I'm trying to get a new monster written up and playtested before the book gets sent off, but I may not get it finished in time. When the illustrations come in, that's it. The book is going to print. If I do get it in before the illustrations you'll be seeing a new outsider pretty much made out of magic!

Thanks Chris, for answering the question!
I'll add a few things... I just got the two illustrations from Florian Stitz (amazing, by the way!) and one from Rene Walk (another amazing piece!) That means... Rene needs to deliver one final piece, which he has promised to deliver saturday... and then there's the monster illustration for the new monster delivered by Chris! This one will be delivered by Justin Hernandez, and he has promised to deliver it before friday.
This means... that I will probably be able to finish the book this upcoming weekend! However, something could still happen to change that...

Thanks guys, for the kind words!
More information...
The book is about 100 pages long, with nearly 70 of these devoted to new spells.
The pdf will only cost $10, and I'm not sure about the print version... but fear not, one is coming!
Also, this book is fully compatible with the Advanced Players Guide...
There is a lot of artwork in this book, all of it in colour. 33 pieces, four of these full page... from known (Pathfinder) artists such as Jeremy McHugh and Florian Stitz!
