Bearded or Unbearded

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Should my Taldorian Halfling bard be bearded or un-? He's not royalty or anything of the like, but I'm wondering if a Halfling who rebels against the establishment might not grow a beard in order to flout the law?

Well the only people exempt from the rule are foreign dignitaries, dwarves and Gnomes.{And not all of them seem immune}

So your halfling would have real issues in any major Taldan city. Jail time or a slave galley possibly as he is outright breaking the law, and some will take great offense to that.

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought for sure it would involve a dwarf lol. In the SDAP my group just finished I played a dwarf that was beardless for the first part of the AP. It was rebelious gesture against the stoicness of the dwarven community. I roleplayed my PC's growing maturity by allowing the events of the campaign to slowly shape him into a more mature adult in synchronicity with his growing beard.

So yeah, rock the beard bro!
