What kind of communication happens from a Sending spell? Is it verbal or telepathic?
I'd say verbal. For two reasons: 1) The spell has a verbal component, and 2) the message is sent in words.
That's not to say that it couldn't be whispered in order to prevent anyone but the intended recipient from hearing it.
I disagree, because the spell is not language dependent. I imagine it like a perfectly translated tweet right into the brain of the target. If they know you, they know the sending address. They can choose to reply or not to reply. There is nothing in the spell description that says the communication is audible in any way. I make players write our their Sendings without punctuation to accentuate the fact the spell send words conceptually and not spoken.
FYI: Since this spell is an evocation, you could send a Sending to someone under the effects of a Mind Blank.
