Elves was 3.5. Dwarves was not. But yes. All that info would of course be updated. There'll be plenty new stuff too.

Mr. James Jacobs,
Could fleshwarping as presented in Inner Sea Magic be used to change a person's gender or restore their youth?
Also, how does fleshwarping interact with androids?
Change gender: Yes, probably.
Restore youth: In theory, yes, but no one has figured that out yet.
It interacts poorly with androids. In fact, I'd say it doesn't work with them at all.

We will have 2 Campaign Setting hardcovers by this time next year.
Any hopes that this will become an annual phenomenon? Could we see an Absalom hardcover under this line?
An unrelated question: What has most surprised you about a Paizo product?
I personally think that there are more legs to a line of campaign-specific hardcover books than world-neutral hardcover books, and I also think there's a LOT more world-neutral hardcover books we can do... so in short...
Yes. You can expect us to continue doing hardcover books in the campaign setting line.
At this point, the thing that's surprised me the most about a Paizo product is probably the anger folks had at Sheila Heidmarch in Shattered Star. I had no idea folks hated her so much. Really saddened me to find that out, since she's really a pretty cool character... :(

I think the hatred might be a spin-off from PFS, James, because she's such a royal B*&^8 in quite a few PFS scenarios. In Shattered Star, she's actually a positive influence, which is actually AGAINST her established PFS persona.
==Aelryinth
Oh, I know where the hatred comes from now. She never EVER should have been portrayed that way in any PFS scenarios, is the thing. That was an error, but it's one we can't really fix now. Unfortunate and frustrating to see an NPC like that mishandled in print.

I don't really have one, now that I think of it. My top 20 movies are all pretty popular as it works out.
To pick the first five underrated/unpopular movies that come to mind...
1) Prince of Darkness
2) Captain Ron
3) C.H.U.D.
4) Jurassic Park II: The Lost World
5) John Carter
My favorite box office bomb of all time is without question "John Carpenter's The Thing."

1) Yes.
2) Yes, and yes, I liked it.
3) Snowpiercer (great!), Guardians of the Galaxy (best Marvel movie yet!), 13 Sins (kinda okay, but kinda silly), Alien Abduction (kinda okay but it's a found footage movie so I'm weak against it), The Raid 2 (brilliant and incredible and SUPER VIOLENT), Under the Skin (really cool)
4) Nope. I'm backlogged on video games at the moment, alas.
5) No; given the right director and the right budget and right cast, I think they'd all potentially be great. I'd love to see Guillarmo del Toro do Mountains of Madness, but I think James Cameron or John Carpenter would do an even better job with it. I'd also love to see Ti West tackle something slow and creepy like The Colour Out of Space or The Dunwich Horror.

2) What would you say the narrative themes and ideas in Reign of Winter are, apart from learning about and understanding Baba Yaga and her long legacy across the universe?
3) What are some fictional beasties on Golarion that are eaten as food? I know reefclaws and axebeaks are, but that's it.
4) What makes Areelu Vorlesh tick? I know she's power-hungry and stuff, but honestly her appearance and personality don't necessarily seem like she regards Deskari as anything more than an ally, rather than an object of devotion (no offense, she just doesn't seem "bug-like" enough compared to other Deskari worshipers encountered throughout the AP). What was she like before? Did she always want more power or did she just want a way out of Threshold? What made her into the monster we finally encounter in City of Locusts?
5) Are there changelings that DON'T pursue magical professions?

Nope. Didn't read it. Not looking for critiques of Guardians. I know I liked it, but at the same time, I don't feel the need to dive in and read lots of analytical examinations of it. Or, for that matter, cranky reviews.

If she happened to be imprisoned elsewhere in the world, she might use a different demon, but you go with the demon lord you have, not the one you want. What made her a monster was, pretty much, the abuse that she suffered as an arcane spellcaster in Sarkoris, and then beyond that as a prisoner in Threshold. She was already a bad seed before that, but the treatment of arcane spellcasters by Sarkoris's elite was pretty bad in and of itself. In a way, Sarkoris made Areelu and she gave them exactly the reward the land deserved by opening the worldwound.
5) Of course there are.

3. Can we get more Monk options because they are not Quite Supreme masters of Zog yet?

1) Because it's really fun to play up the tactics required by the class to get the sneak attack in, and it's fun to play a class that has so many skills, and it's fun to play an underdog.
2) No. It's folks misunderstanding how shield magic and weapon magic interact.

what inspired rise of the runelords?
A lot of things, but the primary core inspiration was a campaign I ran back in college that was about a group of ancient powerful necromancers who rose up out of stasis to attack the world and rebuild their empires after the PCs accidentally fell under the control of a vampire minion and set the first of the ancient wizards loose.

James what would be a good horror movie to watch right now?
or
are the two best horror movies I've seen this year so far.
NOTE: They're both slow burn movies... they take a bit to get to the horror but when they get there they're pretty intense. Neither of the movies is really super gory either.
OH! Another one I saw this year that was quite good:

Any particular reason why you picked this story as your launch vehicle for the AP line? Where there other contenders? Have they been made into APs since RoRL (with minor, or major, tweeking)?

One of the main things we wanted with Runelords was to have a big-bad end guy who was a human. At that point, the 3 previous APs had gone with powerful outsiders as the end boss, and by going with a classic (the evil wizard) we helped to not only make Runelords more of a classic AP to start Pathfinder with, but also addressed a lot of folks' concerns at the time that we HADN'T done a human bad guy—people were asking for this type of boss, in other words.
Before we lost the license to do the D&D magazines, the AP that was going to follow Savage Tide was gonna be one we were code-naming "Genie Wars." That one got set aside when we had to switch to Pathfinder and wanted to do something more classic, then eventually got resurrected for what became Legacy of Fire.

Out of curiosity, when asked questions do you prefer them in list format or just more like a letter? I've seen you answer both types without any apparent discrimination but I'd prefer to ask things in a way that's easier/better for you!
1) Would you allow androids to qualify for the Pass For Human feat from the APG? Obviously being from the APG it was made long before Iron Gods had even been mentioned.
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/pass-for-human
2) As there's now a direct connection between ancient Osirion and Egypt (or Kemet) due to the gods of ancient Osirion moving on to Kemet to bring their worship there as mentioned in the Mummy's Mask AP, I was curious if any other earth analogue areas have similar influence from gods who at one point 'moved on' to earth, such as the Ulfen? Due to their similarities to earth's Scandinavian cultures, would it be likely they at one point in the past paid homage to Thor, Odin, Freya, etc?
3) Speaking of gods interacting with Earth, did any of the 'core 20' gods ever have centers of worship on earth? I know Asmodeus and Lamashtu have been mentioned before since their names are lifted straight from real world mythology, but how about gods such as Torag or Sarenrae?
4) Would the 'core 20' gods be considered more powerful than other full gods listed in Inner Sea Gods, such as the gods of the dwarven pantheon, Kurgess, or Milani, for example? Or are the core 20 simply the more well known gods?

1) Okay, how's that coloration different? What colors give the firepelt its name?
2) Where can I get ahold of him?
3) Okay, thanks.
4) So if I played a character with the goal of restoring Sarkoris she'd be all "You think I'm a monster? You should have seen what they did to me! It didn't deserve to survive, and I'd sooner die than let you resurrect their cruelty!" Like that?
5) What are the likeliest non-spellcasting classes they'd go for?
BONUS! 6) A monk's ki is what enables their fists to gain properties like overcoming DR/Adamantine and whatnot. Since Brawlers don't have ki, what grants them similar abilities?

Hello Mr Jacobs,
I've a question about Ring of Revelation. Can an Oracle use a Revelation from another Mystery through UMD and this ring? In your earlier answer (quoted below) this is not addressed.
Dan Luckett wrote:James,
Over at the PFS section there is some confusion on how the
UMD Skill works in regards to emulating a class. The question was targeted at Ring of Revelation. The argument is can a non-oracle utilize the ring to gain temporary access to a revelation with a sufficient roll of UMD?Some argue that no, you have to be an Oracle, and if you're not UMD won't help you.
Others say that UMD circumvents those standard preventions.
Use Magic Device will let you trick an item into thinking you're a different class... but it does not grant the POWERS of that class. The way the ring of revelation is worded pretty much means you HAVE to be an Oracle (aka you have to meet minimum level requirements in class abilities granted by the oracle class, since the powers granted directly affect that ability rather than grant you NEW abilities). Furthermore, the ring specifically says that it has no effect if worn by a non-oracle.
SO. Best case scenario, you could Use Magic Device to trick the ring into activating, but if you don't actually have class levels in oracle, the ring will do nothing more than take up a ring slot for you.

List formats if you have more than one question are preferred, but I'll answer both formats.
1) Yes.
2) Unlikely.
3) Asmodeus and Lamashtu are the only of the core 20 that have links to Earth.
4) As a general rule, yes, they're more powerful, but not always and not everywhere. We also specifically don't quantify power with deities other than showing some to grant 5 domains and some to only grant 4.
