could you make someone in paizo to monsterise each of the paizo employes? like dino-james, dragon-jason, and so on?

and on that topic what would lisa be?

Paizo employees are already monsters. They just look like humans during the day, and/or without being viewed through the special sunglasses.

can we have an iconics comic to go with the pathfinder fiction update /paizo blog? you know somethig 3 pannels long with a quick joke or what have you...

Nope; the blogs are almost always things we do at the last minute, it seems, and a comics blog would require a significant amount of work and management and dedicated employee time we don't have available.

Is the McGuffin itself important to the plot of a good adventure?

What's your favourite Golarion related McGuffin?

Non-Golarion related? (I'm a fan of the Holy Grail).

Yes, because in a good adventure, ALL of the elements are important.

1. If joela and mothman were put into a steel cage which one would you rather see come out?

2. Would you expect them to continue asking questions?

3. Have you read anything by Terry Pratchet?

4. What is everyone's obsession with the iconics about? (I personally don't get it because I like to develop my own characters not faun over other people's.)

1) Mothman, because he has eerie powers and scary eyes.

2) Yes.

3) Some short stories; I wasn't a fan of them so I never moved on to his novels.

4) They're Paizo's mascots in a lot of ways, and as a result (and due to the fact that folks see them in every product) they're associated with Paizo as our "face" to the world. They're identifiable figures to become fans of, in the same way that you can become fans of ANY repeated characters, be they in cartoons, comics, novels, movies, or whatever.

That would be the inquisitor, more or less.

Do you restrict the Leadership feat at all? If so, is it based on party size, whether the PC already has a 'pet', how many other cohorts are already in the party, or something else?

When a PC in your game takes leadership, how is the cohort generated? by you, by them, or by you with some basic input from them?

Would you allow a summoner to take leadership and have a summoner cohort, thus having effectively 4 characters to control?

I generally don't allow the Leadership skill when there's more than 4 or 5 players.

When a PC takes the feat, I usually let the player build it, provided the player has a cool idea and that the campaign's story works with it.

No. Because every time you get a minion, you're robbing play time from your fellow players. The amount of time a session lasts doesn't change, so when you take a cohort, the amount of time on average for each player's turn decreases. It's not fair to other players for on character to so overly monopolize the game.

Going on an adventure with Ezren and Harsk one too many times.
Could going on enough adventures with Ezren drive an Anti-Paladin to the light side?

No, because the antipaladin would end up killing Ezren too quickly.

in golarion is there a guild of troturers? is torturer a good profession in places like cheliax?

Torturers are generally loners who don't really join support groups. It's a good profession in a LOT of places, such as Cheliax, Nidal, Galt, Geb, Mediogalti, and the Shackles.

Aw shucks!

How many cats have you owned in your life?

One, if you're only counting the cats that I for sure didn't share with my family.

Something like 4 if you count all the ones that were in theory "my pets."

But since cats get taken care of by everyone in the family in my experience, I'd count ALL of the cats I've had as pets over the years, and that number would probably be close to a dozen. Let's see how many of their names I can remember.

Stinkypoo
Whitie
Dragon
Tom-O
Shadow
Midnight
Velcro
Termite
Q-Tip
Newt
Scabby
Butthead
Pywakit

Because I haven't seen that movie in so long, and because I can't go watch it now because it's in a box at my new apartment with all my other DVDs.

Ok, too creepy. You had a cat named Velcro?

If this cat was a Siamese, I'll be genuinely freaked out...

By which I mean (in the form of a question) was Velcro a Siamese cat?

Bonus freakout points if it was a male appleheaded Siamese....

Velcro was not a siamese. We called her Velcro because of her habit of not being able to retract her claws fast enough when she jumped so that her back half leapt into the air but her front paws were still attached to the carpet.

Probably a Maine accent.

Least favortie: The Scottish dwarf.

Do the Ekujae have specific naming conventions?

Is this terrible event they've been preparing for since the Starstone fell in any way related to the upcoming events in SS? ("terrible event" mentioned in Elves of Golarion, it's why the Ekujae are scared of caves, the evil is supposed to be underground...)

If so, wouldn't it seem like cheating an entire race out of the past 10,000 years of their history by having a handful of adventurers take care of it without involving them?

Ah. Whereas in our case, he was named that for his penchant to run up a wall and then just... hang there. Vertical and stuff.

I agree! What a stupid, stupid trend. If anything, Dwarves should have a russian accent. At least, in my humble opinion.

Minus Stalin, Lenin, totalitarianism, and violent internal purges, that's how I ran the Gold & Shield Dwarves in my homebrew elements. The Soviet propaganda posters and monuments from that era were a good inspiration for a lot of flavor.

Is there any chance we could one day have a Pathfinder comic book centered around the Iconics??

WoW has one and it's a great way to fill in parts of the lore and the world you don't plan to handle on your own, or really allow the PCs to handle but want done in an official capacity.

Grand Lodge

Hey James,

Is there a possiblity of bringing modrons into pathfinder? I loved those things. Lizzi's artwork with planescape and the modrons was awesome.

Any chance we'll be getting some Casmaron action after Tian-Xia?
