Quickdraw Shields - can they be given shield spikes?

Rules Questions

My apologies if this was asked previously, could not locate it in this forum on my own.

Can Quickdraw shields (p. 179 of APG) be equipped with a shield spike? For that matter can they be given the Bashing shield ability (from the Core book)?

Looking to equip my fighter with a +1 Bashing Quickdraw Spiked Shield (giving him 1d8 base dmg) but there is some concern that having a spike on a quickdraw shield will cancel out the benefit it provides.

Thanks for your input.

I see no reason why they couldn't be given one. There is nothing by RAW that precludes them from the ability to equip them as such.

I mean, until they make quickdraw tower shields.

The only quickdraw shields as of this moment are light shields. So no worries about Tower Shields. Also, the descriptive text calls out their use as an offhand weapon for two weapon fighting, so it is not unreasonable to assume they can be upgraded with spikes like a regular light shield. Keep in mind that a quickdraw shield has a higher ACP to offset its ease of use.
