Paizo might release their own epic rules at some point in the future, but it's not at the top of the priority list.
Of this, I am glad. There's so much more content to put out that is more useful and fun than Epic Level Rules. Also, I never enjoyed playing or GMing at that power level. I've never been in a group that did either. I'd wager most people like taking a character to 20 and the retiring them in some extravagant way. I know I do.

We definitely won't see an Epic book until at least 2012. Right now as far as I know, the big mechanics book schedule looks like the following:
2011 - Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat, with Asian-flavored mechanics (samurai, ninja, wuxia)
2012 - Epic (maybe)
2013 - Psionics (only if Paizo is dissatisfied with the Dreamscarred Press conversion of psionics to Pathfinder-compatible)

I'm happy with this schedule. And another thing I love, is that Paizo doesn't bombard us with hardback (gotta have 'em) books like WotC did/does. Three a year is an awesome number.

I forget where I read it, but they said that the Ultimate books will have some Asian flavored mechanics (feats, Archetypes, sub-classes, etc). I guess with the way that Archetypes worked out, they decided that all of those "Asian" classes really aren't needed and can easily be done with Archetypes, and they can include them in other books, while leaving the Tian Xia book as primarily fluff, as a campaign setting book ought to be.
Which makes me glad, because while I don't mind a handful of Archetypes in a couple of my books being used as the "Asian" classes, I would be very upset if one of the "Core" books in the line was an Asian book, as that is a very specific subset of the game that I really don't care about. I'd much rather get me some Epic Rules!
