Northern Virginia (Chantilly) - Players wanted for new Pathfinder Campaign

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Hi! I'm Scott "Tarondor" Nolan and I've been running D&D campaigns in the Northern Virginia area for more than 30 years. I'm preparing to start a new Pathfinder campaign and need a few new players (many of the old ones having moved).

I'd love to put together a group of six players. We have two now and interest from two more. We're adult professionals ranging in age from late 20's to mid-40's. No knowledge of Pathfinder is required. Some knowledge of d20/3e is useful, but again, not required.

You can contact me at nolan AT erols DOT com.

Sounds optimal for me except that I'm way up near Aberdeen MD and thus it would be a hella drive. Sadly, It seems such a wasteland up here for gaming I might be willing to do it. I'll contact you at your email.

When on Sunday's do you plan on playing?

Figures, just as my weekly dissolves and I go back to school :) Best of luck, it's rough keeping a group together around here.

Billzabub: The schedule will be set once we have at least five players (three now). But I'm proposing what I've done before: Every other Sunday 11am-6pm.

Ender_rpm: I've been running D&D/Fantasy Hero/AE/Pathfinder games here for several decades. Yes, the constantly-shifting population can be a challenge, but sites like this one can be very helpful! If you're not leaving the area, why not play? I continued to GM right through grad school and law school!

Normally, I would, but on top of work, and school, we have 10 month old twins :) I've been living/playing in the greater DMV area for 10+ years, so it's not like I'm not used to it. :)

Plus I prefer week night games. My weekends tend to fill up too fast.

Sounds cool but weekends are bad for me, although at this point weekdays are pretty bad for me too. What's up billz? We seem to always meet on these posts.

Okay, first off, Tarondar/Scott - are you the Fairfax DUI guy? I'm a lawyer, too, but I'm mostly in Arlington. Estate stuff & crim defense. As for a regular game, weekends are tough for me, since I have kids and we're always running around. I've actually been trying to hook up with these guys for awhile -

What's up Jeff & Patrick? Yeah, we do seem to keep running into each other. Maybe that says something. So your weeknight game ist kaput? I've been actually meaning to email you about it. Summer was tough due to one of my girls having swim class on Tuesday nights, which I know is when you were playing.

Maybe we should get together for a beer some time, shoot the shit & see what we can figure out. A game for a couple of hours on a weeknight every week or two might work.

Tuesday night game is being swapped. Ender is dropping out of the GM corp for a while and I will start running a new one. It will be in Burke, VA and will have a player playing from Baltimore over maptools and ichat/skype which may suit you very well. I am in the middle of moving to Burke so the stat date will be mid September sometime TBD. Beer and chat sounds cool too.

Billzabub: I am that guy, yes. As a result of running two businesses, I'm too busy to run a weekday game. Plus, a 3-4 hour game doesn't interest me.

Anyway, I've got four and I'm looking for a fifth, so if Sundays 11am-6pm sounds good to anyone, let me know!

Can't make the game, but I'll give you a call tomorrow. It's always nice to meet another NoVa lawyer, particularly on the crim side.

Hey Tarondor, You still looking for another player? I was in the Tuesday night weekly with Xyro and Ender, but weeknights are not really my thing. I would like to find a Friday night game or a Sunday game. Since our monthly game usually falls on a Saturday, and that is when my wife likes planning outings :).

Scott,

I Live in Burke and am almost always open for sunday gaming. I have been @ D&D for 14yrs somewhat current with pathfinder. I actually have the main MINI's. Though I have'nt played D&D/pathfinder since coming back from Europe; I would like to get back into it. If intrested let me know.
