Why so slow?

Website Feedback

I've noticed it this last week. The site is really slow to load, especially the message boards. Sometimes I'll submit a message and wait for an entire minute for it to be finished and load the next page. Right now it is loading fine. But 20 minutes ago it was dead slow. Some days I get an error message saying that the site is down. Am I the only one having this problem?

No. I attribute any slowness on the site due to recently released products (and subscribers downloading their PDF copies), resulting in a surge of traffic to the site.

Either that or the PostMonster General is tinkering away making the site a happier, shinier place for us. :)

I have noticed it's slow too. Half the time I try to go to the site it times out and I have to click reload to get it to come up (like when I tried to load this thread from my rss feed reader just now). I figured it was just post-GenCon traffic. ::shrug::

Well actually the real reason why is that they just rescently upgraded there servers to the new Dual Hampster wheel models for the improved performance.

Well someone made the mistake of getting a male and female hampster for the new servers. Well now you know why every now and then the servers start to slow down

Any hope for a server upgrade in the near future? With Paizo taking home a truckload of ENies, I figure a lot more people may come flocking.

Right now, Gary's working on some application-level issues, while I'm working on some lower-level issues. That means performance will continue to be less than ideal at times for a little while. Once we're both done, though, things should get a fair bit quicker!
