Near the beginning of June, I had to hire a lawyer to handle what should've been a routine legal matter. I had a solid job offer, contingent on this routine legal matter being handled between the near-beginning of June and the end of July. That's nearly two months to handle a routine legal matter that the attorney assured me would take a month to complete.
Well, the attorney screwed up, the job went to another candidate, and now I'm passing the savings to you!

Things always work out, just not necessarily the way I wanted them too. I'm officially back to work after about three months of unemployment after a year of unsteady employment. My salary is about 2/3 what it would've been if the attorney had been competent, but at least my foot is in the door, I've got a great boss, and an excellent opportunity to learn some valuable new skills.

Speaking of PDFs, this Sunday, 15 August, Barbaric Traits goes on sale. Barbaric Traits presents 36 new character traits, and they're not just for barbarians. Indeed, these traits can help flesh out any character that hails from some savage frontier where honor and sharp steel matter more than manners and shiny coins.
Inspired by the works of Robert E. Howard and a certain cartoon barbarian with a sun sword, these 36 traits are divided evenly between Combat, Faith, Magic, and Social categories. Now your savage hero can become Blood-Mad, utter a Motivational Expletive, practice Poisonous Sorcery, or benefit from knowledge gained as a Barbaric Ambassador (to mention just one-ninth of the traits packed into this PDF).
Barbaric Traits is 11 pages of black-and-white, printer-friendly crunch.
I've also got Ars Metamagica coming about on or about Sunday, 22 August. This PDF will offer a metamagic system not dependent on feats or skills designed to be Pathfinder-compatible, including consideration for Advanced Player's Guide users.
