Adding Flaming or the like to an Animal Companion

Advice

I would like to know if it is possible to add something like flaming, icy, lightning or the burst effect of one of them to an Animal Companion with out using a limited wish, or wish spell? Also if Holy or Unholy could be added to an Animal Companions attack?
Would you have to buy some special item to be enchanted to be placed in say a wolfs mouth? or a boars tusk?

I know i can add magical + to an Animal Companion with magic or greater magic fang and the permanency spell. But that's not what I'm looking for here.

Amulet of mighty fists (flaming), or frosting, or any other +1 element is 5000 gp, works with all the companions natural attacks.

Pour oil on the animal companion, and set a torch to it..?

Dark Archive

He's not flaming, he's fierthe.

Thanks. I thought when i read it that it didn't work for natural attacks. I thought it just allowed the +1 to +5. And the weapon special abilities only applied if you where using it for a weapon and not natural attacks.

Am i wrong on this point? I will be very happy if so. Tho 20k is alot to pay to get Holy.

Holy is a +2, so you're spending 20K anyway.

Amulet of Mighty Fists

Aura faint evocation; CL 5th

Slot neck; Price 5,000 gp (+1), 20,000 gp (+2), 45,000 gp (+3), 80,000 gp (+4), 125,000 gp (+5); Weight —

Description

This amulet grants an enhancement bonus of +1 to +5 on attack and damage rolls with unarmed attacks and natural weapons.

Alternatively, this amulet can grant melee weapon special abilities, so long as they can be applied to unarmed attacks. See Table: Melee Weapon Special Abilities for a list of abilities. Special abilities count as additional bonuses for determining the market value of the item, but do not modify attack or damage bonuses. An amulet of mighty fists cannot have a modified bonus (enhancement bonus plus special ability bonus equivalents) higher than +5. An amulet of mighty fists does not need to have a +1 enhancement bonus to grant a melee weapon special ability.

See the bolded bits above, it's pretty plain it affects natural attacks, and that you don't need to put +1 on it first.

I understand what it is saying now. Thanks for the help. I guess if i had just took some time and read it slowly and enough time it would have finally clicked in my brain.

No problem, happy to help. Wish I had a $1 for every time some little bit of crunch didn't make sense to me until the 5th time I'd read it. :) I could buy Paizo out and move the Monstrous PC book to the top of their priority list. ;)
