Sending a gift to someone: Answer

It seems that I can read your post, but it's bugged and I'm not able to answer there, so here ya go in a new thread:

The way we deliver PDFs is to the recipient's My Downloads page on their Paizo.com account. If they do not have an account, then we have nowhere to deliver the PDF. This is why that page says:

Download recipients must have a paizo.com account.

Requiring you to provide their avatar name enforces this rule and ensures that you don't waste your money on a PDF that cannot be delivered.
