Protect Yonder Caravan!

Advice

It seems like a popular trope in D&D to protect caravans, etc. And indeed, in my campaign (its a bit of a back-to-the-roots sandbox game) my PCs are going to do exactly that. My question is, are there any modules/adventures, Pathfinder or otherwise, that do this -well- ?

They normally seem rather static and, frankly, a bit dull. I'm hoping for something that makes it feel more cinematic, or maybe some sort of victory point thing based on how well they do, how many people they keep alive, and whatnot.

Scarab Sages

Pathfinder Society had a module called Murder on the Silken Caravan. Essentially the PCs need to get an important person's body and then escort it to be laid to rest at his home city. It's a difficult trek and the only caravan that makes the trip is the Silken Caravan.

The adventure has some intrigue and some plot twists and turns that actually make it quite exciting and interesting. It's written for a desert area but could easily be adapted for any setting. Even if you just steal ideas out of it it's worth a look.
