Deeper darkness and darkvision

Rules Questions

Can a Shadow Demon see in deeper darkness? I'm confused because in the Bestiary, the Shadow Demon can cast deeper darkness at will, but under the senses it shows darkvision 60'. The RAW say even a creature with darkvision can not see in deeper darkness. It does have the blind-fight feat, but that's not the same as being able to see. I have plenty of common-sense solutions for the problem, I just wanted to know if I'm missing something, it's a game-balance thing, or if it's a mistake.
cheers

oh and one more thing, most of the other monsters that have the deeper darkness spell-like ability, specify under senses that they can see in all darkness including deeper darkness

Deeper darkness does not automatically negate darkvision, it reduces the illumination by 2 degrees, if this would reduce it to below darkness, it then becomes supernatural darkness and blocks darkvision.

I've asked this question before and the consensus is that it's for battlefield control for the shadow demon. It just means the demon needs to pay attention to where it's dropping the darkness.

Thanks; it makes since, just hadn't noticed anything like that before
