I want to make a Cowboy / Gunslinger for an Eberron campaign

Advice

Think of a fantasy version of Clint Eastwood's character from the Dollars Trilogy. I was thinking of a Wizard class with the feat that allows the activation of two wands (I can't remember the name).

Any ideas?

Double Wand Wielder, think it was from Complete Arcane.

Needed Craft Wand and Two Weapon Fighting.

I had a friend do this with a fighter rogue and light repeating crossbows.

I'm working on it with flintlock pistols and Master Craftsman, that way I can enchant them myself.

I seem to remember someone doing a gunmage in Wayfinder #2

Sovereign Court

Thre is the Arquebusier from kobold quarterly.

With Rapid Reload, Rapid Shot, and a hand Crossbow you can actually fire very quickly. After all, Eastwood fanned a single revolver from the hip. Describe the character having a handul of hand-crossbow bolts in his off-hand rapid reloading and shooting the weapon. It would actually kind of look like that.

For two wands there was a feat in Complete Arcana that did that if I remember correctly.

How high a level are you? If you can afford it there are magic crossbows that reload automatically (+2 ability if I remember right).

Not necessarily anymore with Crossbow Mastery in the APG you can reload any kind of crossbow as a free action. You just need the requisite feat chain :D

Sigh, now I'll have to buy the APG...

You could convert a Cannith Wand Adept. (Sharn: City of Towers Book) I recommend replacing Dual-Wield Wands the class feature with the Double Wand Wielder feat from Complete Arcane. Also add Two Weapon Fighting or replace Quickdraw Wands with TWF.

Tome of Secrets lists:

Everloaded

The firearm enchanted with this never runs out of basic ammunition. It can't be used to get an endless supply special ammunition.

Yeah I know this thread is bleeding out, but something I thought about you may want to consider: Melee combat.

Catch Off-Guard, amazing feat for gunslingers. Why? Because Most rules I've seen for firearms includes using their handles as *improvised melee weapons*. See where I'm going with this?

Your gunslinger is in the middle of a tough shoot out, an orc comes up into melee, oh crap, what are you gonna do? Drop a pistol to take a move action and draw a weapon? Or flip your pistol around and pistol whip him in the face since as an improvised weapon, he's now flat-footed against your attack as well. I'd go with the second one. The feat also drops the -4 attack penalty for such a neat trick.

Just something I thought about earlier for one of my own pistoliers and I thought I'd pass along.
