I am currently prepping for my upcoming Kingmaker campaign(my group is holding off until we get our hands on the APG), anyways my group is composed of gamers and I thought it would be kind of fun to make some achievements and rewards for the party, with little bonuses here and there, circumstantial bonuses, extra xp, and the like. I am currently brainstorming ideas and I was hoping maybe you guys could throw some my way.
here are some of the ones I have come up with so far
Tourist Guide
Explore 20 Hexes
+1 to Perception For Exploration
Like The Back of Your Hand
Explored 1000 Miles
While Exploring a new Hex your overland speed counts as though it were 5 feet faster, while traversing through your Nation's Hex's your overland speed counts as though it were 10 feet faster> This bonus is due to the party's mastery of exploration and does not actually increase the party's speed.
And We Shall Call this land... This Land!
Establish your kingdom and name it
Well done! As reward for your success the kingdom of Brevoy will be sending you a good faith package of supplies.
Only a Flesh Wound
A PC dies
The PC is not dead, and is instead stable and unconscious at -CON

i am having a rather small party, with me playing an npc with the group. so they may get a lot of little bonuses, but i definitely want them to be something they earn.
Another one I was thinking of
Elbow Grease
Setting up your first building is hard work, however you feel rewarded by the knowledge you gained here
Gain a skill point to spend in any one non-combat related Craft or Profession. So while blacksmith would be acceptable, armorsmith or weaponsmith would not be
i did something similar to that when i was running ROTR and the party was taken out on the mounted boar hunt, they each gained a rank in ride from Aldern's instruction and the player's really dug it.

will do, my players use the forums on occasion but i swore them off the kingmaker section due to spoilers. so i can post a list when i finish... however i may leave off some of the sillier ones like this one
Bribe Accepted
Someone buys the GM food
That player finds a Potion of Cure Serious Wounds in their pack. How strange.
hey dont look at me like that, i am poor and daddy needs his chinese food
currently I am dividing achievements into sections:
Exploration
Combat
Story
Social
Kingdom
Player
Special
i am working on the more general ones right now, and will be looking through stolen land in a bit for ideas there, i plan on having all the achievements created for that particular book before we start it.
oh and one last preview before i get back to work
Kobold Friend
You managed to broker peace between yourself and the local kobold tribe
A player may choose to create a Kobold PC or have a Kobold Cohort.

I really like these ideas. It allows me to add in a few skill points here and there based on character actions that are more role playing focused. I had a player who role played a lot of talking up the ladies but didn't have too many points in Diplomacy.
Ladies man. Seduce 20 ladies and gain +2 Diplomacy Rolls involving seduction. I think he'd have liked having something like that. And maybe if he gets 10 ranks in Diplomacy up the bonus to +4 with the ladies.
Thanks for getting my brain moving this lazy Friday before a long weekend.
