I run a forum for RPGs. There have been some requests for a new board to discuss specifically the Golarion campaign setting (as well as the currently-existing board for Pathfinder rules).
I've opened a discussion on a possible new logo here.
The images in question are: and
The Pathfinder logo is essentially the "Pathfinder compatible" with the text in the red bar stripped out. The Golarion logo is an adaptation of the wording from one of the book covers, combined with the "Pathfinder compatible" logo. In both cases, they are resized to fit into the space limits (aspect ratio retained).
I'd like to run it past Paizo to see if these icons are acceptable for purposes of product identification. If not, is there an alternative image they would prefer for me to use?

Might want to check Here to see if any of these logos fit your needs, as they are all pre-approved

Yep... here's the relevant excerpt from the Community Use Policy:
• You may use the contents of the Community Use Package at paizo.com/communityuse/package. You may use only those versions of the Paizo Materials from the Community Use Package. You may not alter the color, typography, design, or proportions of the logos or icons, or otherwise modify them.
(I'd recommend the Pathfinder Campaign Setting logo.)

Those logos do not meet the needs of the forum.
* When scaled down to the size limits imposed by the forum layout, they are essentially unreadable.
* In any case, the terms of that agreement would appear to forbid scaling them down to the size required for the forum layout.
* The pathfinder campaign setting logo would be essentially indistinguishable from any of the standard pathfinder logos that could be used to identify the rules board.
I'll probably just leave things for now. I believe my current usage falls within fair usage, but if Paizo wishes to issue a formal notice to change things, I can be contacted through the usual channels on the forum I run.
(Please note that I do not routinely check this forum. Messages intended for me sent through this forum are unlikely to be read in a timely manner, or even necessarily in any manner).
