Alright, I have a question. I have looked through my PF Core Rulebook, unfortunately my GMy Guide is not here yet. What I am looking for is a table similar to table 3-5 in the 3.5 DMG (page 52-53). Without that table, how does one determine (randomly/equitably) the treasure dispersement of a given encounter?
From what I've seen in the PFCR, there is no such table, they merely mention that coins are part of treasure, and the types, and relative value of gems, but no tables for random determination.
Thanks!

Yeah, I saw that. I was looking for a table mirroring table 3-5 in the 3.5 DMG. So in PF I just kinda determine for myself if there are any gems, or the exact makeup of the coins? Or I roll for a magic item, and deduct that from the cost?
TBH I preferred a table that would let me roll random dispensement of all those things, but I guess I'll make do if I have to.
Does anyone happen to know how well table 3-5 translates to Pathfinder without modification? I really don't want to do the work to mod it if it doesn't fit well.

Random item generation Hawk, not random treasure tables.
At least I haven't seen random treasure generation tables.
I'll go double check and get back to you.
Edit: There is NO random treasure table in the GMG. There is a Random Item Generator for random magic items, but I've been still using table 3-5 for awarding random Treasure.

You will be happy to know that there is a whole chapter devoted to rewards in the GMG Guide complete with random magic item generation tables.
In the mean time you certainly could use table 3-5 from the DMG making sure you keep the overall GP limit as listed in table 12-5 of the PFCR.
Thanx!
Hawk
Yes I stand corrected the GMG only has magic item generation tables.
Thanx!

Does it seem to translate pretty well? I suppose one could just slightly adjust the figures to fall into the PFCR encounter guidelines.
Thanks.
