What E7 said! Come on dude. There's no use in continuing to feed those trolls.
The only way to win is not to participate.

Yes! The trolls only get justification if we fall into their 'discussions' traps. I know, I'm just as guilty. They have axes to grind and only get jollies by being dbags. Don't be the grinding wheel and they'll remain dull!

Paizo isn't gonna stop it, so we have to ourselves!

And what's wrong with being a dbag?

I knew a dbag, and you sir, are no dbag.

OK, I was channeling that guy that knew JK but it fits. lol

Actually, mulling over trolls in general, it seems that many have persecution complexes and deal with their own issues by persecuting others in a militant/abrasive fashion. So is the trolling a result of their life history, or was their history shaped by them being a dbag to begin with? Hmmm, chicken or the egg. They also have a strong NEED to surround themselves with others like them, whereas a more balanced (happier) person can deal with variety. And a strong NEED to take their frustrations out on others. Hmmm...

Don't feed the trolls!

To ad-lib a famous D&D-ism, "Trolls is trolls".

They're kinda like ogres, but without the layers. Partially due to regeneration, but seriously. If you remove the skin from a troll, all you're going to find is another layer of troll. In a sense, you must engender a kind of homeostasis with them, as they aren't going to change. In a sense, at least with respect to them, neither are you(you are always going to find them annoying/frustrating/enraging). Accept this. Place them in orbit around your messageboard like the burnt-out ioun stone they are, and you will find that they annoy you much less.

Apparently, pasties are part of a balanced diet.

This surprises you? I mean, they're kinda like pizza, they include all of the food groups.

Edit: nekkid nutrition for totp

You can't be completely naked. We're talking about pasties here.

Although someone who was naked save for pasties would be....strange.

It can NEVER top mine! (Thanks, Wes!)

So, what EXACTLY must one do to obtain an author created name?

Or is this a case of 'what happens at the con stays at the con'?

I don't know what Justin did. I was just being myself, and here comes Wes with "Mouthy Upstart!" I think I was relatively new to the board as a poster at the time, but I've always wondered if I was actually playing D&D before Wes was born.

Heh, I'm coming up on the 30 year anniversary of that.

Maybe I need a new moniker, The Lumber Grognard or the Redwood Grognard.

Heh. Redwood = Sons of Anarchy

My old friend WOPR taught me that.
"How about a nice game of checkers?"
"You are a hard man to reach. Could not find you in Seattle and no terminal is in operation at your classified address. That all said, checkers sound marvy. Let's do this thang, Professor Falken. Love, Joshua."
Have you seen the dead code? is it any good?

I never saw Wargames: Dead Code. Not expecting much but I'll put it on my Netflix queue if I can and check it out.

Let us know.

This is WOPR, not WHOPPER. You do not get it 'your way'. Elimination of the human race is required.

I picked on Dave Gross and he called me a dbag, and JJ says I am soulless as the reason I don't get smurfed.

I didn't start playing until I was a sophomore in college....so 1996 or maybe 97. I can't remember what part of the year it was. I didn't know the game existed before that. I know. Sad.

Well, as long as you don't go all 'gotta catch em all' with the souls, it's all good. Er, well, not good exactly...:)

I didn't start playing until I was in 7th grade, so sometime in 97 or 98 for me.

Hmmm, maybe I need to stalk them and deliberately provoke them. Then I can get a cool new name. Or be banned.

Well, Mitch and Lucas finally decided that enough was enough, and made a move to have Harry ejected from the board of directors of the company. Meanwhile, Larry and Sam continued their futile effort to have bikini car washes banned as a serious danger to the very fabric of Western Civilization. And, across town, Doyle was manipulaterd into.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!
