Adding CR to Fractional CR

If you have a monster with fractional CR (ie, 1/3 or 1/2 etc) and a template or other variant that says "+1 to CR" then does it bump one step, to the next fraction, or just round up to 1, or... I thought I recalled seeing a table for this but can't locate it now...

I'm pretty sure you bump up to the next fraction. 1/6 => 1/4 => 1/3 => 1/2 => 1, etc.
