Discount for pdf buyers

Website Feedback

Has the idea of discounting a product the buyer has already purchased as a pdf ever been kicked around?

I love the pdf's. I love the instant gratification. I am glad they are there, because sometimes they have saved me money on a product I would have regretted paying full price for.

That being said. . .I am also a collector. Many times I have downloaded the pdf and wished I had just bought the hard copy. In some cases, I have turned around and ordered the book. I would be more likely to do this, if there was some sort of break in the price. I am sure I am not alone in this thinking.

How about it?

Heck..even if you just shipped it for free.

The FLGS owners are unhappy with PDFs enough. Don't make them even unhappier :)

I'm guessing yes they've thought about it, and no it won't happen.

They want to promote/increase subscriptions (that's when you get the PDF with the hardcopy).

And rightfully so, AFAIC.

My suggestion is to subscribe. I love that I get a free PDF of everything in my subscriptions. What is great is to be able to print out certain things and put them together. One example is the gods from the adventure paths. I have my own book of the gods that I have accumulated. It is in a 3 ring binder for the present but maybe one day I will have Kinko's bind it for me.
