I am thinking in starting a PBP experience so I am setting an adventure in which I can start a new campaign depending on players response.
This will be a generic 1st level adventure, set in a classic medieval-fantastic world.
If the adventure finishes well and all the players show enough interest I will continue developing a campaing as far as you want to play.
I will use plain 3.5 edition D&D rules, I am not so familiar with PF yet so since I mostly know the classic 3.5 set of rules I will use them.
I will use only the 3 core books so no other classes, feat or spells from another sources will be allowed.
Create your character and post ir here, I know what a pain in the ass is to create a character and be rejected soI won't reject your character unless it show serious flaws or repeat a class that already is in use.
Firts 5 players submitting will be accepted.
There are 6 slots one is for my character, an Elf Wizard.
I want to keep it classic and simple so I need:
2 fighters
1 cleric
1 rogue
1 ranger
You can choose any race but I would appreciate variety and don't just stick with humans.
IMPORTANT:
Once the adventure starts you must be willing to post at least 3 times a day if you think you won't have the time to do so, please don't apply, this game is not for you. I want this game be fast and don't stuck because one or two players have dissapear for days.

Yes, only the core races allowed and everyone starts at level one, I want above average characters so we start with 32 points to buy, use this system.
Moreover all characters start with a minor magic item that must be approved by the DM.
I've never done a play by post before but I'd love to try. I haven't played 3.5 too much but I have the player's handbook and if you're willing to take someone new to the experience, I'd be happy to play a human fighter. I'm open to trying something else though.

Well you should post your character here (or a link to it) in order to review it. Just plain stats and gear, no need of background if you don't want add any. By the way you have the standard average of gold given to your class to buy your equipment.

when will this game be starting? Is there any back round that might be relevant before creating a character? I would be interested in playing an elf ranger.
Finally Where are you located? The only reason I ask is because if your in CA or somewhere on the west coast your 4 hours time difference from me and that might affect my ability to post on a regular basis... I'm on eastern standard time in VA...
Nice to hear about you, as you can see a few people have posted on this game however I think I can run it with 3 of us, Tristan is one accepted player, you would be the second one. I don't think your time difference will affect the game since this is not a real time game, you can post when you can and we will follow the game as possible since probably all have different times.

The other game is slow and only have one player too, however the first site to get ar least three I think is the one where I will run the campaign I think. The other site is specialized in this kind of games so I think the option could be there.

Dizzy you have been added to the players list, however the game over there is really really slow, I decided to run the game over there only because my campaign here had litlle interest. I can say you the same than previous post, only adding that the rules set is 3.5 D&D, that is you need the D&D 3.5 player's handbook or d20srd to play.
I can accept classes, feats, spells from other books previous DM approval.

I think one of your issues man is most folks here have switched over to pathfinder, which keeps the interest low. Just like running Nwod or shadowrun, or eclipse phase or the like on here {Ok somewhat better then those}

Well, it IS Paizo's boards. You want to run 3.5, you've got a better chance posting it on Wizards' message board.
Well no, that be a good place for 4e game however. We do have a few 4e games going here however. It is just most people on theses boards have switched from 3.5 to pathfinder. Not all of them but enough that finding players for a 3.5 games is harder then it would be elsewhere.

Well, it's just cause overall Pathfinder is plain ol' better. Slightly more simplified, less broken, and more balanced. Learning it takes maybe a day of reading if you know 3.5 Plus there's not 100+ splatbooks to read through.
