Crafting with a bit of luck

Rules Questions

Domain: Luck (Shelyn)
Bit of Luck (Sp): You can touch a willing creature as a standard action, giving it a bit of luck. For the next round, any time the target rolls a d20, he may roll twice and take the more favorable result. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Can I touch myself and then do a crafting check using this ability?

It would depend on your DM of course but the description for craft skills says: "Make an appropriate Craft check representing one week’s worth of work." I would rule the craft duration beyond the 1 round duration of the power.

A bit of luck would be great but I think you'd need something more sustained for craft. If the bit of luck person were there constantly through the creation of the thing, I might allow it. It would represent a week commitment however.

I think I'd allow a lucky crafter to make a second attempt but then I plan all crafting so you can take 10 on the roll.
