I did not get a chance to go to paizocon, but I have anxiously ready everything I could find about what was discussed there. Some of the rumors I'm not thrilled with (possible changes to the summoner), and other things I can't wait to see. The thing that I am most excited for is the book Ultimate Magic. The new base class, Magus, will be nice to have as an option. But the thing I am most excited for is the new "Words of Power" magic system. I was wondering if any further details were given about the new system at Paizocon. James Jacobs said here that this would be a system usable by all casters, but don't know what they are trying to accomplish with the new system. I have never been a huge fan of the vancian system and am hoping that paizo is working on system similar to the one developed by Monte Cook for World of Darkness. I know it is still a long way off and more details are sure to be forthcoming as the book gets closer to print, but then patience was never one of my virtues :)

On a related note: has anyone ever used the magic systems from Elements of Magic Revised or True Sorcery in one of their pathfinder games? If so were the systems pretty balanced with the rest of pathfinder's game mechanics?
