Affinities and Regional Traits

Sovereign Court

Do you have to have your regional affinity and your regional traits from the same region? What if you have a plausible backstory (born in one, raised in another)?

I am working up a cold sorceror and I would like to be an Ulfen who was kidnapped from Irrisen when he showed a spark of magical talent by Qadiran traders, who then schooled him the arcane arts [Irrisen Ice Mage, Elemental Pupil].

Thank you for your responses.

In a home game, sure. I'm not sure how PFS would rule it though.

I found a little info. To have affinity you must have grown up there or have lived there long enough to get two ranks in Knowledge (local). Regional traits require you to be from a region. It's still a judgement call between what it means to "grow up" and what it means to be from a place.

Strictest ruling would be reached adulthood for grow up and being from would be born there.

Irrisen Affinity can anyone explain to me where I find this feat or what it means as I am unable to find where its listed?

You can take a regional trait if you have lived in the region for at least a year (APG, p. 326). It shouldn't be a problem to combine this with growing up in a different region.
