I am actually very happy about this. I feel sorry for Kev but he has made some big mistakes.
The Australian Labor Party are going to sack Kevin as Prime Minster and replace him with Julia Gillard our first female Prime Minister.
It would be like Obama being sacked by the democrats and Hillary Clinton being given the job of President.

Yep, it's done.
Seems somewhat ... reactionary doesn't it? Still, at this stage I'd probably be more inclined to vote for Julia than Kev.
I think Kev will be lauded in the future like Prime Minister Gough Whitlam . I think he had all of Gough's or "crash or Crash through" attitude.
That attitude alienated Gough's fellow party members back in the 70's especialy when he said a ministry of 2 was one person too-many.
Everybody loves Gough though because he brought in many reforms, just too many too fast for people to handle.
There is not much choice for the coming election though - its the Mad Monk and the Neo Con's or School mam Julia and the wishy washies.
I'd vote for Julia over the Mad Monk (Tony Abbott the opositon leader) any day.
I have seen Julia rip phoney Tony to shreds during parliament. He cant handle her, so I think that Labor has probably made the best tactical choice.
What is the bet the Liberal Party (conservatives don't let the name fool you) roll Tony for Malcolm Turnbul in 2 weeks.

While I understand the concerns that were raised about Ruddy's policies, it has me even more concerned to see him so easily toppled and replaced with Julia.
My biggest concern is that it appears as if some very large multinationals have actually swayed politcal opinion so far that the reigning leader has been ousted. It's dangerous game to play when our pollies let Mining complany's sway their agenda.
I also have issues wth Ms Gillard. As an educator in Australia, I've heard a number of her ideas on how education should run. They don't coincide much with young Kev's at all, and that's actually a bad thing for Queensland education at the very least. My opinion of her as a policy maker is very jaded given some of her plans have nought to do with education and more to do with political expediency. If she does that with the eduaction portfolio, I'd hate to see what she does with an entire country.
This close to an election, dropping leaders and showing party weakness never works. Look at the completely useless QLD opposition for just such a tactic and its epic fail. The only reason Labor has held on so long in QLD is due to the ridiculous infighting the nationals and liberals have going on. Ruddy did the right thing by his party, but it might just be a clever little ruse by the guy to leave Julia holding the bag when it all goes to shite then come back at a later date to be knight in shining armour that saves the party and the nation...again.
Cheers
PS Usually don't get into political discussions, but his one has mea little worried.
