Actually, I think by RAW they cannot since it comes from the Bestiary. Those feats are only intended for monsters. That doesn't mean your DM won't let you take it for flavor.
I believe there is mention of it being a monster-only feat (in the absence of DM fiat) in one of the threads about monks taking it. Let me see if I can find it.

The monks unarmed strike is not a natural attack. This is stated within flurry of blows saying that "A monks with natural weapons cannot use such weapons as part of flurry of blows, nor can he use them in addition to flurry of blows"
The feat mentioned applies to natural attacks only and therefore does a monk would not benefit from the feat. Sadface for punching man :(
Sidenote: I just noticed how they refer to the monk in the PFC as a male.

Correct. I wasn't attempting to bring monks into the discussion about druids, merely that I thought there was a supporting comment from James or somebody that Bestiary monster feats were not intended for PCs to take. I did a brief search of that thread, though, and haven't found anything. Either I misread it or I haven't yet found the proper thread. I'll check back later as I have time. Thanks!

I'm not a fan of the idea of having separate mechanics for NPCs and PCs.
If a druid in one of my games wanted to take Improved Natural Attack (Slam) for their elemental forms, I'd not only allow it but I'd likely be the one to have suggested it.My one caveat with any feat based on temporary powers is that you have to be able to use it for at least 4 hours a day to be able to train a feat based on it in a normal period of time (they can still train it if it lasts long enough to use the feat, but it'll take longer). A person with the "Fly" spell wouldn't be able to take fly-by attack without special effort, but "Overland Flight" would work. Obviously the ability has to be active to use the feat.

Found the rule I was thinking of. From the Bestiary PRD...
Monster Feats
Most of the following feats apply specifically to monsters, although some player characters might qualify for them (particularly Craft Construct).
Improved Natural Attack
Attacks made by one of this creature's natural attacks leave vicious wounds.
Prerequisite: Natural weapon, base attack bonus +4
I'm not saying DMs shouldn't allow the feat, mind you, merely that it would appear you should get DM approval before taking it. Heck, I took it for my 3.5 pre-wildshape-nerf druid back in the day and really liked it. I would probably allow it in my current Pathfinder game if somebody was playing a druid. Hope that helps!
