Given the rather extensive discussions that have been rolling around these boards of late, I am inclinded to ask ...

“What starting Player Character 'attribute ranges/build points' were assumed in the design of the currently existing Adventure Paths?”

  • Rise of the Runelords
  • Curse of the Crimson Throne
  • Second Darkness
  • Legacy of Fire

  • Council of Thieves
  • Kingmaker
  • Serpent’s Skull

  • From looking at the pregenerated 1st-level characters listed in the first book of each adventure path: All are created using 15-14-13-12-10-8 (adjusted for racial bonuses), except the 1st level wizard in CotCT and LoF which has 16-15-12-11-9-9. That seems to imply that each adventure path uses 15-point-buy (25 in 3.5) as the basic assumption.

Actually the wizard Ezrin also uses the 15 point buy, but has been modified for middle age.

It would imply that, but given that the Pathfinder Society uses the 20 point build I wasn't sure it Paizo is "recommending that build system instead.
