Inquisitor and Channel Energy-Prestige Classes

Rules Questions

Hi,
I'm looking for a prestige class for my Inquisitor and most of the intresting (3.5er) prestige classes has the "channel energy/turn undead" requirement, even if they're fitting very well in the inwuisitors concept (e.g. Undead Hunter, Shadowbane Inquisitor, Knight of the Chalice).

What so you think yhould inquisitors be able to trade his domain powers for a weak channel energy (increase only ever 2 or 4 level) or that it's judgment/domain count for this purpose as "able to channel energy". ?

I see the inquisitor as a "divine Monster Hunter" and so some of the more combat orientated divine prestige classes fit very well.

Any suggestions?

They might fit thematically, but from the crunch perspective you will be better off taking a straight Inquisitor. PF classes are designed to be rewarding for sticking to them, unlike in 3.5 where you pretty much had to pick PrCs in order to have any variety.

Also, the APG will have some new stuff for the Inquisitor beyond what's in the playtest.

Instead of changing the inquisitor class, consider tweaking the prestige class slightly to make it viable, since thematically it already fits.

Drop the prerequiste of turn / rebuke undead and swap out powers and abilities dependant on being able to turn undead.

Preferably I would substitute the turn undead prerequiste with another one that seems fitting, a feat or appropriate class ability.

Thats true.

I have problems finding the "way" for my inquisitor, thats why I'm looking for Inquisitor "opions" (feats, PC etc.)

At the moment my Inquisitor is very melee focused, got a mw Bastardsword from my DM (from my backgroundstory, it's the sword of my mentor) and he allowed me to take the Ancestral Relict feat for it, so -> Melee. :)

Now I'm thinking of my feats etc. beyond level 3.
I will not use the standard melee build "power attack" -> "cleave", i like "unusual" characters.

At the moment my concept is a monster hunter/stalker, who use a lot of "gimmicks" (Holy Water, Silver Weapons, scrolls, potions etc.) but I have no idea which feats, skills etc. I should take after level 3. :(

Edit: At the moment I thinking about taking 3 or 4 level Fighter for Armor training and the bonus feats. I want to wear medium armor but I hate it to be slowed. :)
