Actually that would be very cool. A plauge infecting trolls making them easier to initially kill but then the critter... use stats as a snake with a burrow ability to infest a new host.
And then the troll gets up. you know since you were fighting a little wurm and all.

This is a video of a small one. They have been verified at over 200 lbs and possibly have grown over 400 lbs.
I captured one once. They're surly.

Once, when I was real young I went fishing with my father and one of his friends. We set some lines in a pond and caught three flathead catfish and I thin five snappiung turtles. (Not the alligator ones) It was late and of course my Dad and his friend had been drinking so we slept in the van. They had the two front seats and I had the back...with the snapping turtles. That was funny in retrospect but not at the time.

At 11 by 7, is it even a giant turtle? How many could ride on it if we turned it into a ferry boat?

Thats darn big. I would say it could carry two comfortably but may in fact have been able to seat 5 with the right harness on. Now just how fast Bowser could move is another story.
