Pathfinder Character Excelerator (Character Sheet) Major Update

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Hi all, I wanted to let everyone know I've posted a major update to my Excel-based character sheet. Version 0.8 (I'm still beta testing...) now features two files, one for portrait and one for landscape. Both feature all OGC feats and traits released by Paizo to date (many/most fully automated), plus content from 4 Winds Fantasy Games, Alluria Publishing, Super Genius Games, and the Legends of the Shining Jewel. It also includes the 6 beta classes from the Advanced Player's Guide (including eidolon evolution automation). I've been focused for this version on getting things formatted to serve well as both a printed and on-screen sheet. For the latter, the sheet starts my efforts toward automating common game options and settings real-time to help out in actual game play. For instance, you can dynamically set attacks to use Power Attack, fighting defensively, etc. You can also set conditions like Sickened or Blind and the effects flow to proper game stats. This is setting up for the focus of my next major release--automating spell effects and magic items. You can see a small sample of this in the current sheet, but it's limited to standard Neck slot magic items and the effects for haste, enlarge person, and reduce person.

You can always find the latest version of my sheet in my profile, and I also submit it to the Pathfinder Database and HeroForge for general distribution.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please head down to the Suggestions/House Rules/Homebrew sub-forum and join in on the thread erian_7's Excel-based Character Sheet.

Thanks!

Lots of good stuff

Just want to jump in here and tell you just how awesome your sheet it. Ive watched it evolve over many iterations, and its proved very useful. Just want to toss out my thanks again for all the hard work you have put into this, testing the latest version now!

Wow! Great things to come! We appreciate the good work!

Thanks for the support! It's been a lot of fun working on this in conjunction with the Paizo forum folks. Indeed, a lot of the current layout and functionality is directly related to someone jumping in with their thoughts. AdAstra Games, for instance, was instrumental in getting the new "look and feel" for the sheet working properly.

I'm really excited about the next major update, as I think having spell effects and magic items automated will be a great new piece of functionality. Plus I've got a lot more 3rd party OGC to put in place. Rite Publishing has graciously contributed some very nice stuff (they're first on my list) and 4WFG has continued their support as well. Beyond these, I have liked the SGG material so much I purchased a lot of their material, alongside a few new companies to try (like LPJ, Reality Deviants, and several others). The "giant class" (the Jotunnar) from Rite Publishing is going to be my first jaunt into this new 3PP material. Should be an interesting one to work out.

Thanks!

Just wanted to mention a couple of things.

To start off, thanks for creating this.

One thing is that the link for the thread for suggestions on this is dead.

The other thing is a request.

The Excel file that i open works fine on windows, but when I try to use it on a mac, Ipad or android tablet it looses all of the formulas and other information after conversion...

Is it possible for you or someone who knows how to release a [Pages] version of this?

Thanks again.

Please forgive if this is a simple question, but I'm new to PF. First, I'm unable to find a copy of the spreadsheets on your profile - can you please help me to find them? Secondly, as stated above, your thread link is incorrect, and I also can no longer search for it. Have you ceased updates? I have an old copy of this, and I absolutely love the work, but would like to have an updated copy.

I'm having the same problem. Nothing in you signature, the link to the forum post is broken and the verson listed in the Pathfinder Database is from 2009.

Any help?

Most of the problem is that this thread was resurrected from a year ago. Erian_7 has not been able to work on this any more due to time needed and some RL stuff. The addition of Archetypes, alternate favored class and alternate race features really added a lot of work for him. He was able to add the the favored class and alternate race features, but the Archetypes would have required a top down rebuild, which he did not have time to do.

I still use his sheet for non-archetyped characters, and have the last version he put out(0.9.4). The link to it used to be in his profile, but it looks like it is gone now.
