How much damage do you figure a lawn mower should do?

Just wondering here.

Power: 2d6 (1d6 per blade) with whirlwind attack. Str bonus = horsepower*2.

Manual pushmower: 1d4 + strength.

Weed whacker: 1d2 nonlethal.

Riding lawn mowers make overruns and tramples as well.

Don't forget the sneak attack. Disguise +12 (as a non-working mower) and then when someone searches it - wham! - +2d6 to the hands.

And Bagging Mowers can Swallow Whole.

You have to go to D20 Modern for the robotic mowers (unless somebody cares to make one a construct in 3.5).

Well, surely less than a lion, right?

I'd much rather be run over by a big lawnmower than attacked, even for one round, by a lion. That makes sense, yes?

So, if it were in D&D it'd probably be d4 slashing.

Yeah, gotta love D&D, huh?

(For the record, if you're ever a PC in a game I'm running, and a Lion attacks.... run away. He's gonna do a helluva lot more damage than those pathetic write-ups for lions and wolves and such)

Liberty's Edge

This is tangential, but still important.

I heard this story.....
now....MRI machines have sort of a zone of magnetism around them, where, like a black hole, anything magnetic is going into the MRI if it enters this zone.
So, this one outpatient MRI facility had an MRI with a magnetic zone that sorta.....reached outside the back of the building a little bit.

And this guy was mowing the lawn.

They found the lawnmower stuck to the wall, and that dude was GONE!!!

He thought he found poltergeists I reckon.

Somebody's watched Dead-Alive recently.

Is this Lawn Mower:
1) Robotic?

If the Lawn Mower has AI, then potentially it can make plans and carry out tactics. This could lead to a lot of damage and/or taking over paizo's website.

2) A Billy Goat

Oh... the carnage.

Shadow Lodge

I would give it pretty high damage.

well, if you look at it like this the average commoner in 3.5 has 4 HPs so in real world terms anything that does 4 damage or more would kill a normal person so i would have to say that a lawn mower should do 1d3 damage seeing as its more likely to injure you than to kill
