I was wondering whether a familiar gain's its master's class skills list or simply retains its own (non-familiar) class skill list according to its type. That is to say, do familiars gain the +3 bonus to the skills in which its master has placed ranks which are also his own class skills?
Hope that makes sense.

I do not think so, as the Core Rulebook specifically states that ALL 'familiars treat Acrobatics, Climb, Fly, Perception, Stealth, and Swim as class skills.' See page 83, Skills.

That'd be true for animal familiars, but outsider improved familiars would have a different set of class skills. So that, "all familiars" phrase isn't entirely accurate either.

Well... technically it can be entirely accurate, as all familiars will add those skills to their class lists, but some familiars could have a more expanded list.
EDIT: I'm not pointing this out to nitpick at your word usage, but to clarify that outsiders (or any other familiars) won't be declined these skills because of a different class list.

Hm. An interesting notion; it'd certainly seem to be true as far as RAW. I just can't help thinking that it's contrary to the RAI though.

Familliars have no skills period. They get thier master's ranks with thier attribute modifiers, the base creature skills and that's it. Familliars get this instead of any progression due to hit dice.
But, they DO have skills as referenced above. They don't accrue skill points of their own, but they still have their own skills and use either their masters ranks or their own ranks, whichever is higher. Regardless of whose ranks they use, they would then gain the +3 class skill bonus with the skills I mentioned above, plus any others in their entry (for Improved Familiar).
