So, I have a player that is in love with Dragons and as crazy as and unplayable they are I went ahead and did my best attempt at a Dragon by level...
So since the Gold and Silver dragon's have a shape changing ability and could most easliy walk amongst humans I converted them first, but here is the gold. Whatcha think...
Gold Dragon There be dragons!.
(sorry its kinda blurry - hard to post this cause its a big chart)

How is flying handled? What levels do they get the different grades?

Thanks for the encouragement!
And sorry its kinda difficult to read in the chart, but each number represents the overall bonus to the ability score at that level. The flying is by progression on the landmarked levels/ages that are named for the most part.
It can also allow a slower progression of size if the PC choses to insert levels of other classes along the way.
I have it all in a Word document, but wasnt sure how to host and post it. I have completed gold, silver, red and black dragons so far. =)

A cheap 'breath weapon' option might be to allow the fire breather to cough up some sputem that is the equivalent of alchemical fire, instead of a cone or line of fire, until it makes it up to Wyrmling age and replaces that spittle attack with real dragonsfire. Use the appropriate other elemental types for the other dragons (alchemist's frost or spark or acid) and it pretty much works for all of them.
The metallic breath weapons for 'hatchlings' could function as single target ray attacks, representing a 'puff' of gas, with the actual clouds / cones of gas replacing this smaller option at Wyrmling stage. (Granted, all of the other metallic dragons have more useful gaseous breaths at the lower levels than the poor Golds, but that's the price one pays for being the toughest dragon in all other respects, I guess!)

Here is the updated and hopefully a little better non-blurry version.
Gold Dragon Run! a Dragon!.
