What's the default way to determine a creature's CL for its SLAs?
Normally, a Succubus's SLAs are CL12. What's her CL if she gains class levels?
In 3.5, a Hound Archon Hero's caster level didn't change when it gained class levels, but a Pathfinder Drow's SLAs have a CL equal to their class level.

in 3.5 a drows caster level was equal to its total class levels as well... this is a special ability of Drow, not of SLA caster levels in general.

Class levels on creatures with racial hit-dice generally do not increase caster level (I'm sure there are exceptions).
Adding racial HD probably should, but I don't think there's a rule on it.
There was a recent clarification about half-dragon's breath attack intentionally being based on racial HD, not class HD. I would say unless the SLA specifically says it is based on class levels, then it isn't.
The thread is here.

The default for the CL of SLA is HD.
Many critters have set CLs that are different.
Personally I would tie it to CR.
