Faiths and Avatars and its companions Demihuman Deities, and Powers and Pantheons, are among some of the best RPG products produced of all time. These books are overflowing with lore concerning every deity and their churches in Faerun and are still the foremost reference material on the subject 14 years later. Also included in these tomes are specialty priests for every deity (over 100 in total), for the uninformed these were basically the cleric class altered to suit each deities priesthood specifically, by providing a few new class abilites, altered weapon and armor proficiencies, and unique priest sphere access for each priest.
My hope is that Paizo will eventually produce a sourcebook which provides this quailty of product for all 20 deities in Golarion, including information on the churches of every god and about the gods themselves. Now I am aware Pathfinder has a unofficial semi anti-prestige class policy, however I would also love for a 10 level prestige class specific to each priesthood to be provided as well.
Am I alone in this, who else would love to see such a product?

Hi Gambit,
As a long time FR fan (it was my campaign setting of choice for nearly 20 yrs) I have and really enjoyed those softcovers you mentioned. I think it would be INCREDIBLE if Paizo did something similar for their 20 core deities (as well as) the several dozen others mentioned in Gods and Magic. I don't necessarily want PrC's for clerics of each deity in these books (but perhaps alternate class features or variant classes for clerics of most (or all) of the deities).
SKR should have something to do with these books (if such a thing ever happens) and maybe Paizo could snag Eric Boyd (what's he doing now anyway?)
So, yes, I agree with you Gambit... a book or series of books about Golarions deities would be all kinds of AWESOME!

We've been doing in-depth articles about the gods of Golarion in Pathfinder Adventure Path since volume #2. We do 4 deities a year. These articles, written by Sean, appear in every 2nd and 5th volume in an Adventure Path, and generally run 6 to 8 pages long. Many of them feature prestige classes.
The index, so far:
#2: Desna
#5: Lamashtu
#8: Abadar
#11: Zon-Kuthon
#14: Cayden Cailean
#17: Calistria
#20: Sarenrae
#23: Rovagug
#26: Iomedae
#29: Asmodeus
#32: Erastil (upcoming)
#35: Gorum (upcoming)
#38: Gozreh (upcoming)
#41: Nethys (upcoming)
We haven't announced any after that, but we'll get to them at the same rate.

Hi James.
Thanks for chiming in. I realize that the incredible Sean Reynolds provides us with major Golarion deities in parts 2 and 5 of each AP... but (some) of us just hunger for more. :)
(It's because what you folks produce is so AWESOME that we want more.)

I have played four characters in Golarion now - three in APs, one in Pathfinder Society.
Their deities? These:
#32: Erastil (upcoming)
#35: Gorum (upcoming)
#38: Gozreh (upcoming)
#41: Nethys (upcoming)
Finally! And yes, those articles give plenty of detail for the gods, and Prestige classes when appropriate.
Halfway through now, 6 left unscheduled. I like the pace of the articles. I feel too much at once would drain the creativity to have real differences between them.
Edit: Okay, I lied, I also played a cleric of Iomedae, but the article wasn't out by the time I stopped playing her.

James, thanks for the reply. I was aware that some of the AP's provided an in depth look at the deities, but as US military stationed overseas and its not always easy to get some of the more uncommon books which arent things like the Core Rulebook and Bestiary (not to mention funds). Is it possible that we may see all this information compiled into one book in the future?
Also, how is it that you ever get any work done when your busy responding to peoples inquiries my friend, do you sleep or do you have the construct template? ;)

The answers to your questions are:
1) It's part of his job description.2) It never appears he does. It may be seasonal (like herbernation)
3) Indubitably.
Where are you stationed?

I'm in the US Air Force stationed at RAF Mildenhall in the UK. And yes, theres defiantely seems to be something very constructy about James' work ethic/sleep patterns....maybe hes a planehopping Warforged who got stuck in Golarion.

Now here is a question. Any plans to put out this cool stuff in it's own book rather than an adventure path? My gaming group has a raging hatred of anything that even sounds like a 'canned adventure.' On top of it, I'm not willing to shell out money for stuff where most of the book will only be used once.

No plans yet. CERTAINLY no plans to do so until we're done doing the core 20 deities in Pathfinder, which will take another year and a half or so.
After that... who can say?
As for "canned adventures," here's my take:
1) If you only READ an adventure and never run it but reading it was fun, then you get your money's worth. Especially if, one month or one year or one decade later, something you read in that adventure inspires something in another game you run or play in.
and 2) Each Pathfinder has additional articles and bestairies that are designed to ensure that they're usable even after you run the adventure.
