Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

Ok, my gm is not to keen on the summoner class for Kingmaker. So what about an exiled Tian-Xe wanting to set up a clan base in the river kingdoms. Rules questions... Is Katana a MW bastard sword? And can you build a better Samurai using the fighter build in Pathfinder or just use the class complete fighter

Thank you.

1) Yes, it is.

2) Fighter. The Samurai class was undrepowered in 3.5 so with hte Pathfindre boost it'll be REALLY underpowered. and it made for a piss-poor representation of a samurai, too. They weren't two-wepaon fighters.

Go for Dazzling Display to represent their intimidation prowess and some focus on the Katana and you should be able to build a good samurai with a fighter.

I was wanting to go more with a dex base fighter too accomplish this character can it still be done with having a Samurai on roids.

Use the elven curve blade (Exotic Weapon Proficiency) and get Weapon Finesse.

Or the Aldori Dueling Sword, according to the setting the first swordlord had to learn it from somewhere, Why not a Tian? Maybe your family or clan taught them? That'd create a wierd kind of relationship, and prevent the default 'uncultured barbarians' reactions.

I guess I should have asked what would be a better build a dex based fighter through 15th or a str based fighter through 15th.

Actually, was thinking his goal was to open his own school and buying going on the exploration he could show that his technique was as good or better than the swordlords of Aldori.
