Some rules questions for new campaign

Rules Questions

Hi folks -

We're starting a new campaign with a new set of characters and abilities, and we have some questions.

1. Are summoned creatures affected by a bard's buffing abilities?
1b. I'm assuming most direct buffing spells (haste, stoneskin, etc.) can be cast on a summoned creature?
2. Is activating a wand complex enough to interrupt a bardic performance?
3. Is a summoning interrupted or disrupted if the spellcaster/conjuror teleports briefly (dimension door)?

1. Summoned creatures can benefit from bardic performance like any other creature. The creature must be able to hear and understand the Bard to get the bonus if it is audible, but only see the bard if it is visual. Spells will buff the summoned creature normally.

2. Maintaining a performance is a free action, and is only interupted if you cannot take a free action to do so. Killed, paralyzed, stunned, and unconcious are the examples given. Presumably, if the bard was bound or grappled he would not be able to use a visual performance like dance, and if he was gagged or silenced you could not use some audible performances. Using a wand or casting a spell do not inhibit the performer.

3. I am assuming that you are having someone else dimension door someone casting a full round summon. In the concentration check list you have "Affected by a non-damaging spell while casting" DC= DC of spell + spell level. The DC of a dimention door would be 10+2+caster's casting stat.
