I wish I hadn't seen it. All of the characters were cliché. The plot was tired, and the mineral at the center of the dispute just had a dumb name (Unobtainium? Really?). I don't see why everyone was getting all hyped up over the graphics...they were basically just a slightly upgraded version of the graphics you would see in a pixar animated flick. All in all a waste of the $1 I paid to rent it from the Redbox.
I have not and probably will not see it.

Still not seen it....after it left the theater and was no longer 3D I gave up on it...
But now I read about the starship in the movie being based on realistic concepts so I'll probably watch it...
Just hate being constantly told how Technology is evil and Nature is good....let's see them make a digital movie without computer microchips doped with chemicals that are toxic or DVD's that wont take centuries to break down in a landfill, and movie theaters that run on renewable energy instead of off the same power grid that uses an oil fired power plant...hollywood hippie hypocrites.

i might agree with you. doesn't james cameron know that special effects can't make up for mediocre writing?
Still haven't seen Avatar.
Not seen either actually have heard District 9 is quite good though but wasn't impressed with what i heard about Avatar's storyline.
Must admit I loved the new Star Trek opening sequence though!
Not seen the Last Airbender movie either though I'm more likely to watch that than either of the other 2.
