Starting up the thread for those of you playing in the Council Of Thieves (COT) Play-By-Post (PBP). Once you have your character created post it here and I will check it out and let you know if there are any issues.
We will roll stats using either standard (4d6, drop lowest) or heroic (2d6 add 6). Races can come from the COT players guide. Traits are preferred to come from the COT player's guide but can also come from the Pathfinder Character Traits Web Enhancement with prior approval. Both found here.
Choose 2 traits when creating a character. Please add character background with character creation. Setup character's like this.

Here is the Pathfinder SRD for those who don't have a core rulebook. May not be exactly the same, but hopefully better than nothing.

noticed an error in my character sheet. I am wearing light armor with no profeciency.... I fixed the mistake. I now have a AC of 12 so if you don't mind, PROTECT THE MAN WITH NO AC!!!
THIS could be a problem... My AC is only sixteen so get the brain surgeon with the hood to do it. Besides I'm gonna' be busy blowin' the souls out of the classical music lovers hearts and faces soooo...

Lucius throws a punch to James, in an effort to remind him who he is dealing with; but James, 'blessed' by a similar heritage as Lucius, is a little too quick and the blow misses
Ok so should deadpool not get his DEX MOD if he didn’t know I was an enemy. or at least have to do a perception check to see if he so it.

First off I want to appologize...when I put in the other post to come over here I had already posted in this thread but for some reason it didn't 'stay'.
Second, you are correct. I had totally forgotten about James being flat-footed when you attacked and he should have been hit. Unfortunately by the time I posted and then realized what took place I could not edit the post to make the changes.

Sooner or later we will have an encounter, so when that happens how do we want to handle it.
1) Everyone posts based on initative (may slow posting down some since we would possibly have to wait for people to post to move on).
2) Everyone posts uses the 'spoiler' tag to hide actions that your character takes that round (may cause those posting to use if...then statments).
Which one would we like to do?

I can do either one... I am usually on these posts checking for replies all day if I'm not doing anything, but I do think it might be a little better for people to use the second option. It would be faster because someone may not be able to post or they can only get online at a certain part of the day and instead, we can just post ahead of time...

Alright with our current encounter, I casted mount which brings me a light hourse for 2 hours. Is there any problem with me casting a spell on the horse? I know the concentration check if he is moving, but is there any problem with him not being trained with fire flying above him or something or are they okay with it?

About Mars I don't think you recieve any XP because you haven't been posting but I'm not GM. On WIlliam's problem I think that you would have to make a ride check to start of course that would make you an easier target because you can't move too much. You might have to make a concentration check on the horse because you need to focus on the spell on the back of the horse. That is just my outlook on the matter.

First off, to ride successfully you would need to make a ride check DC 20, if that passes then a concentration check would need to be done to see that you can cast while the mount is moving (in this case DC11, 10 plus spell level).

This is just a simple heads up but I will not be posting later in May for at least a week. As most of you know already, my father will be returning from Iraq for a two week break and we will be traveling to Florida the day after school. After the vacation, I may still be busy squeezing as much time with my father as possible... I am sure you will be able to live without me..

I appreciate the heads up William.
But anther dilemma has come up. We originally begin the game post with the acknowledgment of the people playing that we need people to post daily. With the exception of me and 3 others this is not happening. The problem occurs when an encounter takes place with only 50% or less posting causing those of us who post daily to have to wait, sometimes days, before we can continue the storyline (those who let me know ahead of time that they will be gone or those with reasons why they cannot post at the moment do not factor into this). I guess what I am saying is that those of you who cannot post daily need to say something now. Obviously, if you are not posting, you will probably not see this post either. So I am giving the group 24 hrs to post in this thread. Those who do not post here within the 24 hour period will cause the premature end of the game post or they will be replaced by someone who can post daily.
Hope to hear from you soon!!
