I was there three years ago. I hope your rocking chair's comfortable.
I spent several nights up with my twins, especially around that three weeks-old colicky stage. My advice, get yourself a few TV series on DVD. Episodes are about 45 min long, usually about the length of a slow drinker feeding, a baby that wants to fall deeply asleep in your arm before going back to the crib or or a fit of colic. A season should last you at least a few days (or nights).
In my case, I owe some of my sanity to Firefly...
good luck!

TV has been my saving grace. 'Course, I have not actually heard it in a while. Whole lot of Closed Captioning is going on now. It is actually pretty funny when whatever program they use messes up. Some of the "translations" are hysterical.
Yeah, it is great, but I was wondering if any of you know of any stores that might sell extra arms or hands?

Ah yes, the third arm. I've I wished for that one! Even a tentacle would have been satisfying...
I ended-up setting a 'baby-control' station right in middle of the living room every night before going to bed. I would have left it there all day long if it wasn't for our older boy who was 3 at the time (and the apartment was small). But as far as entertainment, I went for unidirectional entertainment type, such as books and TV. Most computer activities took too much involvement from me to perform to a satisfactory level.
