Any chance of an upcoming underdark focused AP?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Something like 2nd edition's Night Below?

I know Second Darkness tackled some underdark/drow things, but im thinking something almost purely below ground from start to finish.

Just curious :)

The Darklands have a role to play in the upcoming Serpent's Skull adventure path, but we've no plans yet to do an entirely underground AP.

Thanks for the response :)

Hope the darklands part of Serpent's Skull is beefier than it was in SD.

Back in the 2nd edition D&D days I did an entire underworld campaign. Worked out great. I took the surface world of Greyhawk created a massive underdark world that tied Grey Hawk to Hollow World. In my game the player chose to stick to the underdark between those two worlds. I'm trying to remember the name of the people but the Humans were these albinos that were forced underground when the great destruction caused the sea of Dust. So a couple of players were them, another was a drow, and mountain dwarf. It worked well.

I'd like to do something like that again. So would Second Darkness be good to pick up? I'm subscribe to the APs but just got in on CoT.

SD is...OK. Not great, but OK. Lots of TERRIFIC setpieces, but there are some issues with the storyline.

Especially once the darklands stuff starts.

But lots of great ideas and it makes the Drow what they should have always been...EVIL. Not Evil-turned good. 100% evil. Always. Love it.

And you get alien monsters, gambling rules, Riddleport!, Kyonin, the secrets of Celwynvian, Drow Cities, and a full writeup on the demon TREERAZER! (Even at 3rd level, my players in ROTR are waiting until they are big enough to take him on...)

If you mean "Hope there's a lot of long-distance underground travel/exploration," it's not.

If you mean "Hope there's a lot of Darklands-themed monsters and plot lines and themes," it is.
